In today’s world, there are seemingly endless choices for an online distance education. At first glance, it may seem that online and distance educations are the same thing. However, that isn’t always the case. An online education may or may not take place through a school that is in the same town as where you live. A distance education is usually online, but not always. There are some schools that allow you to take a class that takes place entirely on the internet, but some distance classes are done on paper. It is becoming more unusual since email and the internet are so much faster for most people, but these courses, sometimes called correspondence courses, are still out there to be found.

The great thing about having the options available that you have now is that you are no longer limited to just the schools that are within a convenient drive of your home. You could take an online course from a school across the nation or one from the school in your town. Online distance education just adds a new level of convenience to pursuing the degree, certificate, or adult education course that you are interested in.
